hello! I am a basketball player who has been balling for approx. 4 years. I have training 5 times per week and sometimes, even matches in between the days. I am only 14, however I am suffering from very bad backaches, which I am not very sure how it happened. I cant bend properly now, even during stretching exercises. It affects me during my training, but I go on with it. When I sit for a long time, I will experience sharp pains when I try to stand up and straighten my back. This has already lasted for more than 3 weeks. Can anyone give me some idea what's going on? (:

I suggest you to see a specialist. Probably there's a problem with your nerve.

Polyclinics

Polyclinic will still refer you to the specialists. For a situation like this, I don't think you'll want to waste much time Q-ing at the polyclinics and then get referred to another doctor.

Get yourself checked out by a specialist immediately before things get worse.. and stop your training asap..

okay thanks guys. (: anyway, have you all ever experienced your knee being "loose". You can feel something grinding inside when you bend it.
