Ally, it looks like most of these posts on here are from Indians who want Indian maids. Basic comfort levels I guess, am I right girls? I heard from a couple of people who live in Singapore that there are a whole host of agencies that hire maids from India and fly them out to work for Indian families in Singapore. Indian maids as I hear are cheaper than Filipinos who can have a bit of an attitude! Be warned tho the Indian maids probably do not speak English!!! Indonesian maids are quieter than Filipinos, and may speak English...and are Ok with vegetarian food, which is my consideration! Anyhow I would be glad if you girls could send me an email too: [email protected] with the maid agency numbers. Moving to Singapore in 2 months or so.... Txs in advance.

:) hi there it really depends on your luck, and your requirements ,I have gotten myself a good Punjabi. She came my place for the first time, and I havent seen or talked to her before that.

Very trustworthy, and a bit quiet. Not lazy type. She is extremely patient with my 2 naughty boys.I got her from an agent and also she speaks English.

Its not that Indian maids cant speak English,i think its where they come from.If South Indian from villages or Nepali girls,, then of cos maybe only simple English.

I sure wouldn't admit to being an employer who doesn't give their help a day off. I am really surprised at you. :x

The world was probably always this way, we want to believe we evolved -- but here's evidence to the contrary.

You people are so disgusting and make me puke. Please ask me first why my maid doesnt have an off day before making damn accusations ok!!!!!!!! :x :x

When I got my maid 2 years ago, I came to know from my agent that North Indian maids do not have an off day and they know abt it when they work in Singapore. Also my maid doesnt know anyone in Singapore.

However ,here and there I do give her off days once a week ,whenever she wants to go to a far relatives house..

If you guys compare a South Indian maid with a North Indian maid, usually its the North Indian maids that do not have an off day but being educated Singaporeans,we know that our maids deserve some space as well.

Now if you need more information on how I treat my maid, please PM me,i will give you my number, you can talk to me.
