Anyone know anyone selling Vespa GTS250 or GTV250 model.

Flexible budget, but looking for model no more than few years old. Thanks

There is no GTS250 here in Singapore. Piaggio Asia did not bring it in.. as for GTV250, most likely you wouldn't be able to find any second hands as it was only recently available here in Singapore. For 2nd hand, you can find GT200 and LX150

You can go to Piaggio Asia Pacific in Genting Lane to look at all the models currently available. You can search for the exact address using Google. Asphoon is one of the more reputable dealers of Vespa. Check out vespaclub.sg if you need more info.

Leeds lass I assume you have a full UK bike licence, If so you will have to convert it before 1 year is up. I've just done mine its easy.
Singapore bike is great other places to look are yahoo auctions Singapore ( note they normally don't auction the bikes but use it to advertise them )

i was only a car driver in the Uk, so currently starting driving lessons for 2b licence over here - can't wait to go through the theory test part - yipee.

Just decided to put the horse before the cart and start scooter searching first - typical impatient brit eh?!

A 2b only allow up to 200cc so dont get carried away and buy a bigger one.

Cabs and other cardrivers, although driving like headless people, aren't the real danger. The horror comes from fellow scooters and motocyclists, squeezing in everywhere.

I dont squeeze at all and always ride in the middle of the lane but find that cabs try to pull in and make you ride the white line.
Squeezing on the highways is madness I never have to be in such a hurry.
Very little regard is given to motorcyclists here, a lot of people hardly ever use there mirrors when changing lanes and they think the bike should ride the white lines , which a lot of the smaller bike riding locals do , but if you look the guys on the bigger bikes tend to drive a lot safer.

I am one of those (hopefully safe) guys on a big bike (a Harley), so I speak from experience: the madness comes from the stupendous local motocyclists, who squeeze in between all the time.

The death toll among motocyclists in this country is extremely high, which doesnot surprise me at all, seeing how these idiots move around.

Ride safe as said and indeed just stay in the middle of the lane.

The thing that get me is they squeeze to get in front and then when the lights change they dont accelerate away, especally the small two stroke guys who change up at 2000 rpm and get know where fast, its like riding with a load of mosquitos around you.
I was saying to Leeds Lass not to squeeze as you say this place has plenty of accidents.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try not to squeeze and will do my best to avoid increasing the accident rate in Singapore!!!!

I'll also try not to sound like a mosquito whilst i get my head round gear changes and revving at the traffic lights.

Seriously, one of the reasons I chose the Harley is because of the sound. If they do not see me, at least they hear me...

And they keep more distance I noticed.
