Does anyone know how to get rid of unslightly scars on arms and legs esp if they have been there for sometime? Not too keen with plastic surgery. Freaking expensive!!

I read that 100% pure essential oil helps in healing new scars. It helps also for old scarring but the recovery time is longer.

There is one at centrepoint (level 2)and another one at Emerald pt. But I have not purchased from them before hence not too sure about their pureness.

However, i suggest you not to buy from the pushcart at suntec city. They are not pure.

Yes, essential oils are for aromatherapy. But i was taught by my beautican only some essential oils can be applied directly and lavender is one of them.

If it is dark marks, it's a pigment problem, using AHA will help lighten the marks.

If it is scars like keloids - raised reddish bumpy type, you may use the keloid creams or sheets to flatten them, this will take time applied daily for months. Some doctors give injections for this, a few injections over some months. It does flatten but some people cannot have it permanently flatten.

If it is pitted scars, I'm afraid very little can be done to fill up the pits.

Hi Olivia,

You may want to try products containing Extra Virgin Olive Oil. My Indonesian lady friend likes one such product very much. She said that this is a very unique product, can't find it in SK-II or Kanebo or the most expensive brands.

Helps in skin cell renewal. I've seen some pics which show the lightening of scars. You can try this.
