It might be worth having a look through the contract and see what clauses there are regarding termination of the contract. I'm not an expert and haven't signed a contract with an employer for a long time (I have my own business) but there isn't always a length of term of service. However it might be worth having a conversation with them and ask them either to add one in or find out if its a long term posting and what that term is, roughly.
If your company is paying for the relocation etc etc it seems that a: you have a good company & b: they are looking at the long term investment in you.
I would've thought that if this was a 'posting' then you would have some length of time in the contract unless its an extension of your current contract (if its the same employer) or its a rolling contract whereby all that is required is notice. As I said I would check to see what clause there is about resigning the job and what claims the company have against you if its within a certain time-frame. That should give you an indication of the minimum term of your contract at least.

HI, not an expert here either, but it would pay to check as you may be getting a gratuity or annual bonus of some kind, and this might be annual, or it could be at end of contract... that would be a drawback if you had no actual term of service.
Also, check to see what it says about roll over or renewal of employment, you wouldn't want to move here and then fins there is no job after 12 months.
Just thinking of the worst cases!
Good luck!
