Singapore Expats

My mum is bringing my bicyle over from Oz in a few weeks. She's concerned that she'll have difficulty at arrivals with her suitcase and my bike. Will the airport trolley cater for these things ? What are her options I'v not done this before. I'll get the local bike-shop in Oz to pack bike for travel - that's not the problem but has anyone done this before- What assistance if any is available at the carousel area for my mum since I won't be able to access that area at Changi airport to assist her.

I brought along my bikes ( 2 ) with me but I had 'em bodybags.

I wouldn't worry too much, tell your mom to ask one of them folks in uniforms standing around, to give her a hand.

That's about the most productive thing they can do aside from trying to stand around acting Miami Vice like or

S.W.A.T. even.

Yeah - that should do the trick - or she could jsut start screaming for help if she gets ignored too much. Don't reckon airport staff would want too much screaming going on. It's normally pretty tame in there.....

should not be a problem at all, just make sure the bike shop in Oz packs the bike for flying, the box is easy to handle and a luggage cart is always available - I have done this with a mountain bike before. also brough a large barbecue back from the US as check in baggage and found the staff very helpfull - that was 6 boxes and i couldn't even see over the top of the cart when i had loaded it all on.
