I have been to Boracay (in philippines) and highly recommend the place if you like to stay in a beach area. Its supposed to be the next up and coming beach resort. The people in philippines are really nice and friendly, plus most of them (including the police) speaks reasonably good english so there is no problem getting around.
A few things to note... there are a few airports in manila, i.e. the international airport is not directly next to the domestic airport, if you plan to fly to manila, then to another city within philippines on the same day, make sure you give yourself ample of time to travel from one airport to another. traffic conditions can be really bad...
manila have another airport known as manila clark airport. this airport is about 3 hours via cab away from the international and the main domestic airport, you might want to take note of that too.

Well...what are you into? If you want to just relax and the beach and party, Boracay is the way to go (as the previous poster has suggested). If you want something a little less commercialized, Bohol, Camiguin, (take a Singapore-Cebu flight) and Palawan (very pristine, but a little pricier) are great. For diving, you can stay around central Philippines - great dive spots can be found at Moalboal, Bohol, and Apo Island. A week's vacation can set you back from SGD 500-1000, including airfare. Again, it depends on what kind of accommodations you want and the activities you'll be doing. If you need more info, just drop me a note and I'd be happy to give you recommendations

Cambodia - has 3 main attractions;
Angkor Wat @ Siem Riep - Need minimum 2 days to cover all the temples
Phnom Pehn - Probably 2 - 3 days depending on how you cope with the Killing Fields etc
Sihanoukville - Beach type resort - as long as you want.... Not much else to do their but chill out, sun bathe and have a few beers!!
