Hi,

Subject has surely been covered already but...

I plan to go to Malaysia soon, and heard terrible thing about jam and waiting time to cross the border at Tuas or Woodlands.

Questions:

what is the average waiting time to cross the border?
When is the worst time during week end (saturday morning to go to Malaysia, sunday evening to return?)
What is then the best suggested time to avoid traffic jam?

Is there a internet site allowing to know what is the situation real time? Is there a web cam?

Any suggestions to allow smooth and casual border crossing during a week end?

If you go with your own car / bike, take Tuas: no jams.

If you go by public transport: no choice, have to go by Woodlands, often jam.

How about if you just take the night train to Malaysia? You can have your immigration stuff done at the KTM Tanjong Pagar Railway Station and then just enjoy the train ride.

And yes, I've checked the night train schedule from the station. It departs Singapore for KL @ 10PM daily.

Just a trivia, I found out that the KTM railroad tracks in Singapore belong to the Malaysian government.

What is your mode of transport? Car? Bike? Bus? Or walking across the causeway?

As somebody said, take 2nd link / Tuas. There're webcams on mediacorp and LTA's website.
