I got a job offer for an IT Service Management (ITIL) position (5 years experienced required for this position) from a Japanese Bank that is going to setup a branch in SG.

I am currently work in Malaysia and wish to migrate to SG with wife and 2 young kids (2 and 4 years old). My wife will be relocating her current job to Singapoire office. Consider renting a house (for the first few months, my long term plan is to buy a HDB flat once settling down), transport, food and kids' expenses, is SGD 80K per annum a decent offer? If not, what would you suggest?

Many thanks for your advice.

Yes, annual $80K is considered a very good package for IT service mgmt. Btw, it is a good opportunity to gain the experience in setting up a branch.

just remember the condition of purchasing a HDB is both of you need to be PR. having an EP doesnt count.

do your sums properly and claculate everything in to see how well you fair. your biggest outgoing will be rental (you sure you want to rent a house?)
