I've just done my 1 Star basic kayaking course and absolutely loved it. Now I'm looking for some people to go kayaking with. Just want to practice a bit and have fun and hopefully move on to 2 star and 3 star at some point. am expat, working, so only have time on the weekends

been a bit hectic last week so late reply:
I checked and you need a 1 star to rent out any kayaks. At least with water venture which organise lots of the water sports here. The course is easy, 2 days, 80 $ (incl membership) , locations Kallang, Pasir Ris and Changi I believe. (
http://www.water-venture.org.sg) Not sure whether there's any kayaking without the little star.
but let me know if you get the 1 star, I'm still looking for others to go kayaking with
sorry, cannot PM, don't have enough posts here yet.

I'm definitely interested!!!
I did 1 and 2 star courses last year (at the Kallang Basin location) and plan to do 3 star later this year. But really could use some practice and a kayaking partner.
Let's plan something!

Hi, not sure what you mean by 1 star and 2 star in Singapore. I have my BCU 2 Star, one m,ore and I can be an instructor. Any good? Let me know if you arrange anything? definately up for some kayak action!

I'll try organise something:
how about next weekend, 31 May or 1 June, ie.e. Saturday or Sunday, still flexible.
I only know Kallang and didn't like it too much so would suggest Mc Ritchie or Pasir Ris.
So, who's interested?
Aaron, the 1 star I've got is really basic so might be too boring for you. But worth a try.

Maybe I will come along anyway - Will I need to bring certificates or can I just come along? Don't have certificates here in Singapore but can get fax copies.
Post up details of where and when and I'll see if I can make it!

let's say Sunday 1 June. Pasir Ris Water Venture at 2.30 pm (web page says latest equipment rental 3 pm). weather permitting. I reckon Pasir Ris could be more fun with larger waves.
Location: in the Pasir Ris Beach Park, address: 125 Elias Road, Singapore 519926
Not sure about what certifications they want to see, I guess some basic copy should do. I believe you also need to be member of Water Venture for rental, but that's only 45 $ for 3 years.
Who's in?
