Normally the way. Especially after just registering they just happen to "hear about it". After a while you can spot them even before the shill pipes up. They really should pay more attention to their English lessons BEFORE trying to con the posters on a Expat Board. Course the only ones taken in are the other local posters with horrid English/spelling as well.
And that's where I, the other mods and our faithful regular like you come in trying to protect the unprotected. Mucho thanks for your help any/all the time!

feline.eyes,
No, you post doesn't bother me in the least. I've been on the board for many years. I've been moderating it for around 2 years. As as moderator, we are on the lookout for trends, styles of trolls, advertisers, mlm'rs and solicitors for business. All of which are against forum policy as I am sure you much know. Most follow a trend (those that frequent the Beauty & Airline threads that is, they are about the same and they are generally a different cut than the locals who constantly interact with the Expatriates here and use the general forum and the Staying, Living and Moving threads. Sorry if you are thrown in with those here in the beauty thread but we get a pretty good eye for advertisers & their shills.
And Yes, most advertisers DO follow the silly gambit of "I just happened....." on their first post or at least within the first half-dozen posts. And yes, we generally can spot the local advertising types by their English and/or SMS'ese or Grammer. (we catch Russians & Rumanians and Nigerians & PRC types the same way.) As as far as the concerned poster is concerned, she's had posts already deleted in the past so we already know her.
As far as the local being gullible is concerned, yes, if they spend lots of times here then gullible is a very apt term. Anybody who goes for PS for no "apparent" reason or does any kind of diet PILLS, Wraps, Shakes or other silly garbage is gullible and needs protection. EOS.
Culturally insensitive? How is Bad English, Bad Grammar and SMS'ese culturally insensitive? Get Real. I respond the same to anybody, culture has absolutely nothing to do with it. I call a spade a spade. Had you been longer than 6 months you would already know that.
As far as other countries having bad English & Grammer, so? I've don't have the best either but then again, I'm not a frequent poster of garbage in the beauty thread with sms'ese or singlish either.
Get real....
