Hi All,
I like a social drink, but not to get wasted. Is the FNDC a good place to meet other expats, or could you reccomend another route?
I am Welsh female 30s non smoker, been here a week, and am looking to meet other English speaking expats to hang out with.

Hello HaiYing
FNDC is oriented more towards being a social gathering, primarily to meet both new people and places (bars/clubs) in Singapore. It is definitely not a hard-core drinking club, per se. Some people drink a little, some a lot, and occasionally some not at all. However, everyone is always friendly - I have not yet had the displeasure of asking someone not to come back due to inappropriate behaviour.
Best bet is to come along one night and see for yourself. If it's not your cup of tea then that's fine - you'll find other social events on this website or elsewhere that are more to your taste.
Personally, I've met some fantastic people at FNDC and made some good friends - it's always a pleasure to organise these events. If you come along this Friday, unfortunately, I won't be there, but ask for Nicole and she'll look after you. Hope you have a great time wherever you end up.
