Trying to get my gf to Singapore

This is the 1st time i'm doing such a thing. Pls pardon me if i'm asking too much.
My gf is a Thai. I'm trying to get her into Singapore so that she can get a job here. And hopefully get a PR.
She's a Degree holder from a University recognised by MOM.
Degree in BA and Major in Hotel Management.
She's being working for 3 years in Bangkok.
I'm really not sure how i can go abt doing it. If she apply for EPEC, how long can she stay in SG till she get a job?
If i were to engage wif her, she will get a PR?

No, you would have to marry her.

ROM is as good as married ya?

Not good as married, if you are married in the Registry of Marriages by the JP you are married. Until then you are not. Legally. Cultural Ceremonies are only cultural not legal in the eyes of the law and ICA.

Guys,
i just realise that the college that she came from is not recognised by MOM.
The skool that awarded her degree.
I tried to apply EPEC for her, if it doesn't go thru, wat r the other option available for her?
If she were to come SG n find job, wat is the max time frame she can stay here?

To get the 30 days, she dun have to apply for approval or anything ya?
Is there a process to extend the 30 days?
We intend to ROM, after ROM wat does she have to do to apply for PR?
And after ROM (during application of PR), does she need to go back to her country?

Actually, durain is correct. ICA (Immigration & Checkpoint Authority) is the Department to contact, not MOM. The Ministry Of Manpower is only for Work Permits.
It might be a good idea for you check your facts before posting. Same thing for your other post regarding the wife's employer securing a work permit for the husband in a totally different field. Her employer can do no such thing. Helping to apply for a Dependent's Pass - Yes. Work Permit - No.
Please check your facts before unknowingly giving false info to our readers. Especially to those who are sometimes depending on our information when making decisions to pack up and come here (or for that matter, re-negotiating a contract before coming here, based on erroneous information). Thanks,

I am a Singaporean having a thai wife. My advice to you is to get all the Thai document translate to English first and do all the ROM tasks if you want to get her for the long term Social Visit (1year) pass immediately after you two get married.
Obtaining the Employment Pass is also another option but there is risk as she doesn't qualify, she may have to go back to Bangkok.
Another important thing to take note: Thai without Social Visit Pass have to buy two way air-tickets as the Thai immigration will not allow your gf to leave her country if she only have a one-way ticket.

Anyone here's foreign wife got PR with staying in Singapore less than a year???? I had friends that apply for their wife say that it is advisable for our spouse to stay Singapore minimum of 1 year in order to get a higher chance... Is it true....??????

i'm a singaporean married to a hong kong man. i don't really have the answer to your question but from my experience getting my husband his pr, the wife of a citizen has a far easier path (compare the 2 forms and you will see).
in most cases, husband of a citizen were given consideration on their own merit (and it's quite stringent) whereas for the wife of a citizen, so long as the husband has stable income of more than 2k per month for consecutively 2 years, no bad records with ica or mom or criminal records , you are likely to get the approval.
that said, the authorities are quite wary of marriages of 'convenience' and they usually want you to satisfy them that yours is not the case (with photographs of you together from years back like courting days etc). sad to say, they do discriminate and the country of origin of the wife / husband does matter.
go check out the form. if you are able to satisfy the terms stated, then you have a good chance of getting the pr for you wife even if she's been here for less than a year.

I've recently got PR and I'd never lived or worked in Singapore, so yes it is possible.

My wife is from taiwan, singaporean here, anyway i gotta her PR less than 6 months, you gotta to makesure ya thai wife have a degree which is recognise by MOM, they do look into factors like her grading, aprasail as well. for yourself you need to have steady income, contribution to CPF etc.
your education levels etc.
