Singapore Expats

Hi
My husband and I are moving to Singapore from the UK at the beginning of July. We have a 15 month old daughter who has a very rare genetic disorder and therefore is developmentally delayed and requires on-going therapies.
I would love to hear from anyone who has relocated to Singapore with a child with special needs as I am obviously trying to find out as much as possible about local services/groups/nurseries etc before we get there.

Sorry I have to be brief as I am about to put my lads to bed but Centrestage is great at accepting special kids in their mainstream classes which is wonderful. My kids ahve OT at OVspring which I think is wonderful. There is also another toddler program run by a group of Speech and OTs called excelerate (not sure of spelling but it is in tanglin shopping centre). Personally I would find paed at NUH (slightly more experienced at Expats than KK) which is the teaching hospital.

Overall you will be amazed at the options here...Definately best in the world

There is a special needs boy in my daughter's nursery class at Pat's Schoolhouse.

My daughter is age 4, advancing to K1 in January.

I don't know about the details of this boy's situation, but he does have a specialist who works with him at least two days a week, and I think he's being well cared for there--though I'm just an outside observer.
