if you can't read english, how should people trust that you can teach french?

(i know it doesn't make sense, but he really can't read)

As far as languages go, French, and the other Latin based languages would be the easiest. Not to say that it will be a piece of cake or anything. You have to learn how sentences are structured which is different than in English. For example in English you would say I love you. In French if you directly translated it, you are basically saying I you love. The French phrase is Je t'aime. Je is I. t' is short for tu which is you and aime is love. I only use that as an example as it is one of the few things I remember.

Now Mandarin, there is a tough language. I had to give up because I just could not make some of those sounds required. Very hard to learn that at an older age.
