New girl on the block looking for fun friends!

Hi guys
Im new to Singapore, arrived on Tuesday. Im really excited and terrified at the same time as I dont know a single person other than my boyfriend!
If anyone would like to adopt me onto the social scene I wont put up a fight! My boyfriend is a shipping broker working London hours so I have plenty of free time to get dressed up and go drinking! Will start job hunting on Monday although ive heard its not the easiest of things here?
Anyhow, Singapore is a joy compared to living in London, I cant wait to settle in. Im a welsh girl with a London accent so something new to bring to the mix!

Hi there, Hannah - welcome to Singas. You're in for a treat - it's a pretty good place to live and provides great opportunities to meet new people, travel, and experience different cultures. Someone else on this forum recently said something like "it's Asia with training wheels."
Pop along to FNDC and/or WNDC if you get the chance. It's a great place/event to meet people and we move around from week to week to introduce newbies to different bars/pubs/clubs. And we're a nice bunch of people if I do say so myself (or maybe the others just tolerate me 'coz I organise it most weeks
)

Sounds like we've got a few things in common - both Welsh, both been living in London and both new to Singapore!
Like morton says, you should definitely come to the WNDC or FNDC nights and meet up with a few new people - good times had by all.
