Hi everyone,
Does anyone knows which cream works the best for scar treatment??
Other than merderma at Watson,anything else??

Acne problem is still a bother to me.



To reduce scarring, please don't ever squeeze out the acne. You will worsen the condition. Acne tends to spread upon squeezing.

There is this health food which i find quite good.
Can reduce acne inflammation and scar.

there're many different types of scars. without knowing what you have and without looking at it, it's hard to say what will work (or not).

if they are not keloids or hypertrophic scars (raised/protruded and usually obvious), you may get some relief from various forms of derma-brasion.

otherwise, you probably need medical procedure(s) or treatments to get rid of them. (cryotherapy/injections/surgery/laser)

if they itch, you can use basic OTC creams containing corti-costeroids/anti-histamines. heat also helps reduce scarring so you can regularly apply a warm/hot compress to try diminish it. some creams you buy works in a similar fashion

there are specific sheets and patches containing a bunch of ingredients that will be wrapped around the area from your doctor that may help in this aspect. again, some creams you buy work in a similar fashion.

i think they sell microdermabrasion kits on tv and at pharmacies. those help with old (excludes raised/protruding/burned/piercing scars) minor acne/pox/accident scars by allowing the body to replace the site with newer and generally smoother skin.

as always, see a doctor to discuss your options (even if they are home-remedies/off the shelf products) before attempting to do anything yourself.

if you're prone to keloids, you may make existing scars worse. and you may not know without professional advice.

Scar is a mark left by the healing of injured tissue on the skin
it is cause by the injury ,we can treat it through the acne treatment .
because it can under take the acne.

For acne scars - my GP recommends Retin-A or Hydroquinone (sp?) creams.

I got them both from the doc. I dont think they are avail off the counter.

They work like skin rejuvenation - retin A is good for acne prone skin & prevents anti-aging. Hydroquinone is a bleaching cream.
