Is there any place/website I can use to track the Singapore address of an IP code??

Like for example I key in this IP address and they tell me which part of Singapore (e.g Jurong, Choa Chu Kang etc.) it comes from.

and if possible, the computer will display a map showing the route from one location to the IP address' location, right?

and it makes beeping noise while those links are being established, right?

and then the actual address will be displayed underneath a giant [TRACE COMPLETE] sign in red!

it's like something out of Chuck! oh boy, you better gimme that website when you find it, too!

(sorry, i don't think unless you work at the ISP's technical department you'll know which range is assigned to what pool and area! but i could be wrong. let's ask a resident tech expert!)

Unless you are the police or courts, no there isn't a way. The police or courts can subpoena the ISP's logs and then they can actually locate the address to the users address. Unfortunately, if you or the number you are trying to trace is from one of the local ISPs you are put in to a cached IP address and that's all doing a trace cert will show. But the ISP keeps logs of the users on the back end but is not visible on the cyberspace side.

Oh. Not even which area in Singapore they come from?

as far as i know there are no area specific IP addresses.
and as most home users have dynamic IP's they are forever changing

You'd have to have access to the service provider logs to know who was using which IP at a certain time.

only people who know where an ip is coming from is the service provider themselve, not by location but down to the user's home. they are not gonna just give that info to anyone without a court order, etc. the ip range everyone is in singapore is getting can only be trace by country, but not by location.

But now I have another question! Why do our IP's keep changing? Like if for example mine was 218.74.21.24 and then next time it changes it becomes 218.74.23.45

The first two set of numbers remain unchanged while the last two set changes is that right??

this is going to get a bit technical. your IP keep changing because it is on DHCP where the IP will renew itself if not being use. it also depends on your ISP when the IP are set to expire.

you might want to look into "dynamic DNS" which you would access it as a name rather than IP. dynamic DNS will resolve the IP. or you can find out from your ISP if you can have a fixed IP address.

You can get a fixed IP address from Singtel ( Magix) but it comes at a cost.

If you want to use remote desk top or similar then try NO IP
www.no-ip.com you need to install a small program on your PC but it then updates so you can always access your PC remotely where ever you are.

Netgear routers also have a similar function with dynamic dns
www.dyndns.org
just set up a free account with them and the router updates the IP for you.

I think there's a way to do that, but I don't know how to do. Or maybe you can never do that except you have restricted information from ISP.
Ther maybe a privacy restriction for ISP to provide these information for you.
But I know that there's a way to do that, because if you use function Locate me of Live map or Google map, you can be located quite correctly.

Technically, to check where's one IP address is possible, but it's quite difficult and almost impossible unless you can access to restricted data of ISP (Internet Service provider).

When you use Google maps or Live maps (Microsoft), then there's a function call Locate me. When you use that function, the map will go direct (almost correct, except you're using a company line that links directly to oversea) to the place you're in.
I tried many times with Live maps (on computer) and with Google maps (on mobile) and it quite surprisingly correct.

P/S: you can just locate me (means yourself), not anyone else.
