Singapore Expats

Hi there to all the expats, i wounder if any one can help me out there. I have been a PR in Singapore for 1 year now, and im looking to work in the Casino when it is built. I have 10 years of Casino experiance, ive worked in England, Isreal, Also for Star Cruises. I have worked as a Croupier, Pit Boss, and also in Survaillance. Can any one tell me how to get involved in the casino here????

There are just 2 operators, google for their website and market yourself to them.

It should not be difficult since you have the experience.

I understand that Sands will ship you to Macau to work there for a while and also train up a teamfor the next 1-2 yrs before flying you back.

Thanks for the comments icemocha, but could you possibly give me any more info, i have forwarded my CV to the carrers at marina bay sands, but would love to hear more about this going to macau to train the people up, please let me know anything else , cheers.

Sending your CV to a [email protected] or to any general resume collection email is not a wise thing to do. You just put yourself on equal ground with the ten of thousands of others who did the same.

There are many social/business networking site that you are able to get direct contact with middle or senior management executives of the IR operators.

I'll leave it to your creativity on how to market yourself to them. Forwarding a CV is just the basic step...to whom you send is more important.

As for going to macau, it's reported in public domain news.

I think your best bet will be to check the websites of the int. resorts www.rwsentosa.com or www.marinabaysands.com or www.singaporedice.com. The latter is probably the best site for news, jobs, int. resorts buzz.......

That the Asian way of saving face. They tell you that, so that they don't have to bother calling you back to tell you that you weren't suitable. Not saying you aren't but, that's the mentality most local HR's operate with.

It is not true about Marina Bay Sands staff being recruited and then sent to Macau for 1 to 2 years, as posted previously. All Staff will be trained in Singapore. Most of the Training staff will come from Sands/Venetian Macau to train and then return, as they know the Sands systems.

As for "being on a short list" this is also not true as Gaming have not started recruiting as yet for any staff or Dealers..

How is it like working in a casino? I'm more interested in the marketing aspect but there seems to be no openings for that role
