i think nunchucks are illegal in singapore.

you could always continue with tae-kwon do! what dan are you at?

you could learn capoeira (sic) or various asian martial arts elsewhere but they're gonna cost more than at community centers!

google. it'll come up! like muay thai! or um... i don't know what else. they're not appearing in my mind right now.

before long you'll be like an ong bak that can jump buildings and stuff!

nun-chuks are illegal

but why.....i was really looking forward to improving my skills on them....

and i am not too sure bout the ong bak bit, kinda late for that

but i would definitely love to learn something efficient....it is a great way to keep fit as well and i have heard it also improves concentration....

give this post a coupla days. someone might chime in with the whole fusion martial arts mumbo jumbo that's all the rage these days.

i've seen the whole capoeira (sic?) thing and it's quite amazing doing all those flips and what not.

POW! and a giant foot lands on your face as the supple toned he-person dances with his arms.

why don't you take up, um, ta'i ch'i? or if you're like an old man, qi'gong? i swear the stuff works.

i'm don't do it or anything, but i've seen it work wonders on people and their mental and physical health.

and the fees are really low - but if you're a young chap, you'll be mixing with old people and if you're not asian, you might be quite popular.

sorry. crazy idea. but hey! you asked. ;)

i'd recommend swimming, cycling and some weights in the gym. at least 3 times a week of 20-30 minutes each.

for best results, read up on how a heart rate monitor can help you exercise more effectively

that brazilian martial martial art thing looks like you could break or twist something pretty easily... !

and you could go into watch and fountain pen collecting as an incentive. each month when the credit card bill comes, you must have done all your exercises so you don't get a heart attack.

you can also use the watch(es) to time your heart rate, and the pen(s) to write your last will and testament and letters to family.

otherwise you will be urged to work hard and climb the stanchart ladder so your pay increases to allow you to buy more watches and pens.

it's a win-win hobby!

If you are interested in Aikido, i may be able to help.

But it takes a good few years before you become effective. But in long term, it's an awesome martial arts.

Let me know if you can keen.

Cheers

Fightworks Asia, awesome place.

Muay Thai, Krav Marga, lots of good stuff.

McPerhson Road, close to Paya Labar and Aljuned MRT, take the mus number 62 from Aljuned, the 6th stop.

Go hard or go home... :D

website google the above name.
