Try Venezia at guthrie house sixth avenue Great smooth gelati

i like the pokka shop at Meida at Liang Court. the servings are great!

My opinion - i dont mind paying more but the servings have to be decent. there's one at Takshimaya's basement near auntie Annie's - the serverings are for dieters!

U gotta try TOrino. Its imported frm Italy...i swear its fantastic!!! They sell their ice cream at China Square Central and also to a few restaurants. They have desserts like Cassata, Amaretto...etc. YuMM

A great place to hang out with delicious gelato , coffee and food ! heck it out ! and it is next to a massage and manicure pedi cure place called ART OF RELAXATION. If you go for massage or nails service, you get to have FREE coffee or tea at the GELATO cafe. VERY GOOD DEAL !

i believe gelato is less fattening? Correct me if I am wrong..

Found a new place for gelato lover. Newly opened at 34 Watten Rise.

Frutti Di Bosco, Nocciola, Bacio, Strawberry - die, die must try.

can you compare to the quality in Italy? Will give it a try asap, something I really miss here, a real Italian gelato...

i suppose its less fat..cause they always mention low fat...

i like black sesame ones...PS ones r nice..more serving den i get from taka..taka is so little..

I know we're talking about gelato here, but for real ice cream, what could beat the Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop at the Zoo? Yes, I know -- it's out of the way. Luckily not for me: I pick up the kids at the American School, and there it is, right off the the BKE. It may be owned by Unilever now, but still a quality product with a social conscience.

but to me nothing beats the real Italian gelato... But then again, it is probably the nostalgy that adds to it, wish I was just strolling along the small streets of San Gimignano in Tuscany, a gelato in one hand and the misses in the other hand

Ben & jerry's is a nice alternative though!

Yes indeed, so much of our affinities can be attributed to sentimentality and wistfulness. B&Js conjures up for me bright azur skies over green rolling hills, the smell of clover so sweet you can taste it. Cows grazing on distant pastures blanketed with wild flowers. Starkly frigid nights, dazzled by a mlillion stars with the air so cold it hurts to breathe.

Now I've gone and made myself sad.

Did you try the Bravissimo Italian Ice Cream at Marina Square, level 2 inside Giant facing the cashier?

Not bad, the Raspberry, Cookies & Cream, black sesame, Tiramisu. And the special D24 Durian, taste great. They said these ice cream are 94% Fat Free for milk flavours n 99.5% fat free for Fruits flavours.

When people ask me what life in Singapore is like, I usually tell them my gelato story.

Years ago my friends had finished a lovely dinner on Boat Quay and decided to walk along the river for a bit. They came upon a little shop named the "Gelato Cafe'. Since gelato sounded very good to them, they went in, and after consulting the extensive menu behind the counter, made their decisions:

'May I have a have a hazelnut gelato please?' my friend ask the old man behind the counter.
"Sorry, no stock-lah', he said.
'OK, how about chocolate?'
'No, we're out of chocolate', he said.
'Lemon then?'
'No, no Lemon' he replied.
'OK. Well what flavor of gelato do you have'?
'No gelato, only frozen yogurt'.
'But isn't the name of this shop The Gelato Cafe ?!?'
'Yes, but gelato machine -- very expensive'

u should try the one at the basement of Paragon. Its called Bravissimmo i think. Its fabulous the D24 ice cream is heavenly. First time i have ever tried such good durian ice cream. Thier double chocolate is damn good too. must try
