DONATE KIDS CLOTHES AND OTHER STUFF

I am looking for somewhere I can donate some relatively good condition kids clothes and some ladies and mens clothes too.
I have looked at previous forums but they seem to be out of date.
I dont really want to just dump everything at the shed at the Salvation Army as anyone can get to it and take what they want. I want the clothes to go to someone in real need who will ensure they get used and not resold for profit.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

We package ours up and send them (or store them until we visit) to an AIDS oprhanage in Thailand. They really have nothing there so it is great to provide these things for them. We did look around Singapore but to be honest in comparison to Thailand they do have alot of the basic items.
PM if you want the address or maybe we could share a box for posting.....

Hi Thaiclan - do they take adult clothing also? If so, we're happy to share the costs of a box with you. Cheers, C & P

Thanks everyone for your helpful lists of places to donate.
Thaiclan, will they accept adult clothes too, as would rather donate everything at one place too ?
May look into the Salvation Army aswell.

Hi everyone, yes adult clothes are most welcome too. We will be visiting Thailand again mid August and so will be taking most items over to save on the posting (we visit most months). PM me if you want to send me your packages and I can then contact you all with photos etc of where it is all going.
Anyone know what the last post was about re the father being the sole breadwinner...it confused me

Hi ThaiClan
did send you a PM just now, hope you get it ok. Sure would love to get my stuff together and ready for you to leave mid August. Just PM me back if you get mine and we can arrange to meet up or advise what you want me to do.
Yes was not sure about the post from Ria3n with the father who was sole breadwinner, perhaps they would care to elaborate further ?

Hi everyone, Ive been absent for a while..sorry about that.
Anyone who wishes to add their donations to causes in Thailand please pm me. We go there very often to help with the slum children, street kids, disabled kids and AIDS families. I live in the Bedok area on the East Coast and can store the things at my place until the next visit (early Sept). If you PM me or contact my number you can give me your email addresses and I can keep you updated about the projects your donations are assisting.
Also not sure who is interested but Ive just organised a charity tarot/astrology night. Once per month I'll invite guests to come and socialise, have tarot readings, astro charts casts, dream interpretation etc and ask for donations (say $10 a reading). It should be a great chance to socialise and discuss a subject (if you are interested) as well as raise some funds for the various causes I mentioned above. The first one is this Sunday at 5pm, but as I say I want to make it more of a regular event. Please PM me if you are interested.

There are several organizations for abused women or for young teen moms. They could probably use the clothing/baby gear that you want to donate.
