Singapore Expats

Hello and welcome to the Peas in a Pod club (PIP)

Were having a get together to celebrate the end of another week in our adopted land.

Anyone can join us but it would be particularly nice to see expats who have settled here and haven't yet found their feet. Or 'expats gone local' who entered these shores around the time of Raffles - but can remember the experience! Or locals that have repatriated and have some expat experience.

We're all in the same boat, peas in a pod!

We can share experiences over a coffee or a beer, wine or a tear, whatever you fancy.

Starting 3pm Saturday, venue confirmed - Brewerkz, Riverside Point (opp Clarke Quay, same side as Central Mall about 200 metres to the right as you face it.)

We are asking for names and nationalities so we can post them, which may encourage other fellow countrymen and women to come.

So far we have the following confirmations....

Venue Confirmed for 3pm Saturday.

Brewerkz - Riverside Point - Opp. Clarke Quay. (table under name of Marc).

Its a nice place overlooking the Quay, and they are also a microbrewery and do a range of great beers, pizzas, coffees - whetever you want actaully.

I think there's going to be 12 of us, if everyone comes. Should be a nice number to be able to get to know everyone!

Hey, I'm 22, moved here a month ago today from the US-- is that long enough to go to your gathering?

I can't make it gilly, but it would be great if you could let us all know how the event went?

My partner just called out to me to say thank you for making him come to Brewerk today- He never expected to have met such cool people from the forum...

A dozen really lovely people you got together today.. There are some great people visiting this forum...from all around the world..hope it happens again soon!

Ps..I had to leave early due to the combo of alcohol and sun...not so suited to this little white duck..Currently sitting in my bathers in the a/c waiting to go for a swim..Got to pace myself..



Hope you guys are drinking lots of water and going easy on the beer...

I think you mean Gilly, not Ginny? Thats okay - but I think Ginny is more a girl's name.

Anyway, Gilly couldn't get onto the forum today (signing in problem, or maybe he's been banned??!!) but he says thank you to everyone for turning up.

As notwavingdrowning said, it was a nice afternoon meeting some new people that I hope will become good friends!

Thanks to you all for coming and I hope we can do it on a regular basis.
