Singapore Expats

My beloved 15 year old Dualit died today, been trying to find a repair center in or retailer in Singapore, any ideas? yeap tried google, and rednano, (which is total kack)

And here is a really long shot, our copper pots need re-tinning, I confess it was me who burnt it , any one tried this in Singapore?

All is not lost, the Duralit can be resurrected, I have managed to find a supplier and repair centre here.

I still think you need the one I found on You-Tube, QRM - it doubles as a number of uses around the house:

1. Kids can use it for hand-eye co-ordination practice (just put oven mits on them).
2. You can use it for shooting practice - "PULL" - then heave a decent 7 iron ball at it.
3. Renovations - need that ceiling re-plastered - this is the toaster for you!
4. Got a bird problem - put it on a timer switch, and get that pesky thing out of the tree next to your bedroom - ensure the window is OPEN before setting timer! 0300 will never sound better!
5. Thinking of using one at the construction site over the road? Just need to get some heavy sourdough - and then that concrete won't set, will it!

Mind you, I do like the Kitty one....

QRM can you let me know the name and address of your Duralit repair man..? I've just managed to melt the cord on my 4 slice toaster and can't seem to find even a local shop who will fix a new cord to it. Doesn't seem that tricky to me, but at the moment I'm risking death with a hatchet job comprising electrical tape..!

My handyman could definitely do it for you but might be more costly for him to come out. Let me know if you want his number.

There is a dualit repair agent here in some industrial estate out in the boon docks, I cant remeber how I found might have been via dualit UK? if its just the cable then any local repair bloke should be able to fix it.

I will hunt around for the repair invoice.
