Singapore Expats

Hi, I'm from Australia but been in Singapore for 6 years. I finished my studies here and have just recently been married and had a baby. She's now 1 years old and i have to work as raising a child is expensive. As her child care just recently had 7 kids with HFMD (hand foot and mouth disesase) we're trying to work out if i can stay at home. Do u know of any work from home i could do? Online or written documents?

Looking for some mums and good friends i can chat to as many of my friends haven't married or had kids yet.

Would appreciate your feedback.

There are plenty of ways to earn money at home - but do stay aware of the "earn money from home" packages that try and rip you off.
Ive been in Asia for 7 years now and the majority of expats I meet earn their money via the internet, only a small % actually are contracted to trudge to an office for 8 to 10 hours everyday.
First you need to assess your skills and what exactly you would like to do. You don't necessarily have to use the internet - you mention you have a young child so you could look after a few more during the day (I think legally you can look after 5 without licenses and things getting legal).
If you have access to the internet then the whole world is in your home so to speak and you can choose from an endless source of options...
Or you can use your PC to work for someone else by doing their accounts, documents, visual slides etc.
The only limits you have are the ones you create for yourself, so get realistic and first discover what do you like to do? How much time can you devote to it? Are you hours going to be structured or is it better to be flexible? How much do you need to earn? How much do you want to earn? etc etc etc

hi i am curious,what kind of work is there to be done from the internet ? I am a stay at home mum at the moment.. and I really dont know what to do to pass time,maybe you can give some ideas.

Asking what work can be done on the internet is akin to asking what work can be done in London...or the USA....or the entire world!
The OP was asking for advice to actively make some more money however your needs are to "pass the time". There are alot easier and happier ways to pass the time than making money, and most of them dont involve the internet

Alright I shall re-phrase it. What I meant was to stay at home and do work from home so that I can make money. I hope its clearer now.

Hi Maddy,

I have a flexible work regime so I can control my time cos I have a 2.5 yr old toddler who is rather active. I am not sure what it is you are currently doing that might allow you to work part time, but I think being around a young child's first 5 years of development are the most important even at the cost of a simpler lifestyle. I have found it quite rewarding though frustrating at times
