hi.
if you just go to the good pharmacists they should be able to recommend you something good. however- if you happen to be pregnant I would advice you to be careful with using any laxatives and just to stick to a natural remedy -such as fruit juces such (plum juice!) and increase the levels of fiber in your food.
Hope this helps

Yes, water and fresh or canned fruit on empty stomach is the best solution. And eating dairy products and high fibre diet (fruit, cereals, wholemeal bread) regularly as a prevention.
Good luck

Try Cider Vinegar with honey.
Mix 2 spoons of cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of cold water. Drink twice a day - morning before breakfast and afternoon. Drink it after food if you feel uncomfortable to drink it with empty stomach.
Good luck.

Apple cider vinegar is not too nice on the taste buds, although you can drink the drinking vinegars you find in NTUC. when diluted at 5 to 1 it will benefit gastric problems caused by diet, by that, i mean the over production caused by fried foods. drinking health vinegars have an alkaline effect on pH 2 stomach acid, and will raise the pH value.
Although gastric problems may also be caused by other problems, rather than diet, if this is suspect, then you need to seek medical advice from your GP for the cause of the problem. Although drinking vinegar with meals will help your digestive system so try it and see how you feel.
For constipation, drink the orange or aloe vera vinegar.
It is very important to drink lots of water also, because the colon actually absorbs water from the stool, which causes constipation, so regular water drinking is normally required to alleviate constipation.

Try eat dry plums or raisins and wash it down with apple juice.
If all fails then go to pharmacy and ask for Mucilin. Don't worry, it's just a dietary fibre . My doctor describe it as an equivalent of lots and lots of vegetables without the difficulty of eating them. He was under the assumption that I have problem eating vegetables which I'm not (I love vegetables) I just have problems digesting food other than fruits and vegetables. But Mucilin does works.

Hi, try Fibrogel, which is available in most Singapore pharmacies and maybe in Watsons. However, it maintains a good bowel system, rather than acts as a laxative. So one has to take it regularly.
Try drinking lots of water during the day too.
