I want to buy some toys for my 14Months boy.
I know toyRus, but I think it is expensive.
So I would like to know where are you buy toys for your boys and girls?
O, I want to buy him some toys avail for his brains such like building blocks.

hi, I would strongly recommend Mothercare and Early Learning Centre (e.g. in Centrepoint, Paragon respectively) but there are many shops with some good stuff for the little ones.
I have got an almost 14 months old daughter - got her a bus with rattles and shape sorter and she loves it, playing and learning in the same time.

Why not make them? at 14 months they are not effected by peer pressure and advertising.

It always amused me when I bought our kid the latest fancy "educational" toy only to find she was more interested in the box it came it.

Empty Evian bottles with beans, toilet and kitchen rolls tubes, short slik scarfs, keys corks, straws, cardboard boxes, empty tetra pack, tupper ware, etc are great fun for the kid, just keep in mind anything small like buttons etc to be avoided.

LOL! that is so true!

If ToysRus is expensive for you... I don't know what to recommend... It's one one the cheapest shops with toys for kids...

True, which is why I suggested making them, could try a small shop just opposite the DHL Balloon entrance, they say they are a Toy wholesale shop. very cheap BUT you get what you pay for looks like the sort of stuff European safety regs are there for. Rubber toys smells of strange chemicals, glues on certain item are still sticky, paint rubs off on your hands, and instructions written by a blind dyslexic 4 year old. Put it this way I would not feel comfortable leaving a kid alone with some of the stuff there (but very cheap)

One of these cheap gunk filled squeezy toys burst and covered me in this sticky gel, not pleasant and I suspect not very good for you if you licked your hands ( I bought that in KL)

ok, if you looking for cheapo toys, then goto daiso (those that i know of are in vivocity and IMM). everything for two dollar, so wont bust your wallet.

Chia Nephews ?? For a 14 month old??

With all the news of the tainted and dangerous foods coming out of China, I would stay well clear of the items they sell for a 14 month old.

I'd get one good quality toy, which is safe, from a reputable toy seller like A Better Toy Store or Toys R Us, rather than the heaps of sharp edged, toxic, chokables the same money would buy you at a shop like Chia Newphews.

(Don't get me wrong, I like Chia Newphews and fully endorse them for older kids and adults )

If you get toys that's suitable for 1-3yr old, then you are getting great value for the toy...

Fisher Price has a range of these products. Make sure to check FP recall list though. And if you want cheap, wait for a sale at Tangs, Isetan or Taka... Christmas is coming soon so SALE SALE SALE!

Why not try ebay singapore? Then you're also not creating more landfill.
