Recruitment contacts in Singapore

Firstly I've had a read around and want to thank you all for the valuable information you've put into this forum.
I'm keen to live and work in singapore. In fact so keen I'm coming over on the 27th of November to stay for 10 days and look around.
I've spent 4 years working in a Telecommunications company in NZ. The work there was around content centre knowledge management, online and offline customer service. Previous to that I spent a few years doing web site marketing.
For my trip in a few weeks I would like to meet some recruitment professionals while I'm there.
Is anyone on the forum in this industry? Does anyone have an agent that they recommend?
I would be very grateful for some advice if this is a valid approach to scoping out the job market in Singapore.
