Singapore Expats

I just received a job offer from a US based IT consultancy. The job would be work-at-home consulting. However, the company does not have an office here in Singapore. So i'm concerned on how the company can apply an EP for me.

I did some basic research about setting up an Representative Office which could apply an EP. I just wanted to know if it is difficult or too much hassle to set up an RO. The company may not opt for that approach if it was too complicated.

Can anyone give me suggestions about applying an EP for work-at-home jobs with overseas firms?

I'm surprised they want to open a representative office in Singapore these days.

Anyway, I don't have a clear answer on your question, but I think it would be difficult if they don't have an office yet.

I'm currently evaluating my job offer and I will be sole representative in Singapore for the UK based company but they have office here in Singapore. I can't really help you with your question but I'm hoping you could help me with mine...

Can you PM me what kind of pay package they are offering you? I just wanna find out if the offer I got is reflective of the current market rate.
