Serious shopping

Hi!
I recently moved to Singapore with my boyfriend (we're a gay couple). I would like to get to know the city better and find out the best places to shop. I've been to the shopping malls at Orchard Road, Raffles City, Suntec and they all seem to be the same and quite boring also.
Today I'm going to check out the Club 21 Men at the Four Season Hotel. I've read that they have more classy designers and cool stuff. Are there other shops that sell designer clothes and accessories? I've been to Paragon and it's quite dull. Mostly I'm looking for Japanese designers (like Viridi Anne, Julius) and European cool designers (like Damir Doma, Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens). Also any cool local/Asian designers would be nice to know.
We moved here from Hong Kong. I know Singapore isn't a shopping Mecca like HK, but there has to be more than couple of shops here. Or is there?
We're also looking for a good gym to join. What's the best in the city center, near Orchard Road or Raffles Place?

I have now seen Club 21. Quite hard to find, but that's some kind of comfort shopping wise

But still it's only one place...
I've been to quite many book stores here and I haven't seen a single gay lifestyle magazine, such as Attitude, GT (Gay Times), AXM or Refresh. Are those banned here?!? If they are, is it illegal to bring or order them from more relaxed countries?

For a gym, I'd say Fitness First @ Paragon. They're moving to another floor in Paragon in January, so it doesn't look great now, but it offers the most classes.
For shopping, there's an Issey Miyake and Dries van Noten in the Hilton.
Also, there's a Commes des Garcons guerilla store at The Old SChool @ Mt. Sophia.
Try Club Street too. Asylum is a good store.

Yes it is illegal. They fall under
"The Undesirable Publications Act" due to the corrupting influence that they pander to. (according to the government). They also did not repeal statute 377A the last time up.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_37 ... Singapore) which I am sure you are already aware of.
