Hey there,

Recently moved from HK and I was a member of Pure Fitness at IFC. It offered lots of classes which I loved from cardio kickbox to yoga, as well as free weights and cardio machines.

Steam/sauna room as well. No pool, unfortunately. Lots of hip patrons in their 30's.

Can anyone suggest anything for me? I live by Kallang Park.

There are 2 major gym providers here, that qualify for that you are looking for:

California Fitness
Fitness First

depending on work location but from the sound of it, Fitness first should be more you.

Fitness First is great, I can definitely recommend it. I go to the one at One Raffles Quay. Has sauna and steam room, showers... towels are provided if you need them, as are shorts and shirts. Very convenient if you are working and don't want to carry everything with you in the morning.

There are also other outlets with swimming pools.

there's also Amore, classes includes kick-boxing, cardio-latino, yoga, pilates and dance classes. It's also well equipped with gym equipments, free-weights, towels n gym-towels are provided + shampoo n shower gel.
Bath facilities & steam bath room. Heard there's 1 branch gonna open soon with pool. Ladies ranges from 18+ to 40++ i believe...

This one has got serious trainers who actually know what they're doing. It's an all women gym.

There was an article this(asiaone online if i remember right) week about a woman who won a sum of money in small claims court against true fitness but they refuse to pay. It was only when she hired a bankruptcy management company to seize their equipment legally that they gave her her refund in $50 notes on the spot.

well guess they didn't stay true to their mantra of helping ppl with their fitness goals

I would recommend you First Fitness at Paragon. Do you need a trainer? Would recommend you my trainer - Chris Cheng, if you don't mind a male trainer.

im with california fitness and its pretty gud. u can also consider fitness first. think of taking a rotating memebership if u wud want to access multiple gyms. also gym memberships are highly negotiable. make sure u get the best for ur money. most of them also have referral schemes in place.

Go to Fitness First..much better..more clubs to choose to workout. Very nice facilities and they have a swimming pool at OUB, One George, Capital Tower and at Bouna Vista...

Fitness First Gym near to your place is Millenia Walk. or either go to One George or OUB fitness first gym at Raffles place.
