Hi,

I am shortly setting up a company in Singapore with a colleague who is a Singapore PR, and another colleague who is resident in the UK, all 3 of us will be acting as Directors. Two quick questions:

My PR colleague will have no issues with being a director; but I will be reverting to a Dependent's pass when my current job finishes next week - am I able to become a Director of the new company using my Dependent's pass, or do I need an Entrepass?

Secondly, is my colleague in the UK likely to face any issues in becoming a Director, and is this likely to delay the set-up?

Finally, does anyone have any recommendations on legal companies to assist with the set-up?

I am reposting what I said earlier :

Yes you can be a director, and so can your colleague in the UK. The legal requirement is to have at least one local director, and your PR colleague fulfills that.

Note to George: You might want to reconsider coming on all offensive & condescending like after you were clearly in the wrong. That's how to really get along with us. NOT!

As far as you posting the information again, no big deal. Once SE saw the post he would have answered it anyway.
