Hi,

is anyone interested to go for Calf Reduction?

Or has anyone gone for calf reduction surgery n cud share her experiences?

Im thinking of going to Dr Jong in Taiwan to do it but it seems to be quite a major surgery as it entails removing part of the muscles so wud like to check for feedback first or if anyone is also interested in doing.

Cheers. :)

hey im intrested in having this surgery too, so far from my research i found there are 3 methods of this surgery 1) removal of muscle 2)small incision & cutting of nerve tissues which causes the calves to shrink http://www.medi-life.com.tw/Articles.as ... 6&AT_ID=47 3)高周波, not sure whats the english of this, anyways its non-invasive and only available in Korea http://www.ips-kr.com/big5/beautryshow. ... _number=13

You can have calf reduction just by keeping the bull away from the cow. For really large calves, try feeding them less or have them butchered into steaks and hamburger. :P

the thing what I heard is that once you gone through the surgery, it's with immediate effect , which is what you expect to see.but after several months or so, the flesh will grow out and fill up the space again. which means you have to go back for the surgery again, and you couldn't do aggresive movements or sports within a certain period of time. Some celebrities do this, but only they can afford to do it repeatly..personal advice is try best to avoid these unatural ways to reduce certain parts of your body, everything stays for a reason. Do more stretching everyday and a good habit takes times to show the value..

Depends on your hormone balance too, surgery is not adised in my book, you can maybe reduce protein diet and also ask doctor for hormone check, either way it will take time to reduce muscle, but can be done quite easy, without surgery if not effected by too many male hormones in women...with bulls testicles is the problem, so more female hormones probably needed !

Fascinating!! Why on earth would you even consider surgery as an option??!!!

Surely the correct sort of remedial exercise or even the correct sort of stretches after exercise will do the same thing in a more appropriate manner???

Also surely toned calves are more attractive in both men and women than skinny, bony legs?

I have danced since the age of four (a looong time ago believe me ;)) - classical ballet training does give very muscular legs, yet DVDs such as the New york City Ballet Workout sells itself to those wishing to have the lean physique of a dancer. I've never danced professionally but attend class 3 or 4 times a week and am built for "allegro" so a lot of jumping. Yes I have very muscular legs which, fair enough, I'm not so fond of so don't tend to display too much.

The "lean" dancer's physique is obtained by stretching after class - the calves, the hamstrings, the quads, as well as just about everything else!

Surgery, IMO is a prety stupid, not to say lazy way of obtaining any sort of effect!

Why anyone would willingly let another person cut them is completely beyond me.

Try exercise. High speed bike (80 - 90 rpm +) at low load engages slow twitch muscle fibers and these do not grow in size with exercise. The other advantage is that they burn fat instead of carbohydrates. So obviously a good fat burning exercise and likely to do more for your calf size than anything else; not to mention ankle size.

Also try staying out of high heels for a while, and let those fast twitch muscle fibers atrophy.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with a woman with strong legs.

WHY on earth do ppl keep saying excerise?!!?! im quite shock about the number of ppl who dont know this? When i was a lil child i use to think excerise and stretching solved the problem too, it only does if YOU NEED to excerise LOL.

No sorry, a lot of ppl think like you, however there are skinny girls who are born with thick calves its called genetics. Surgery may be the only option. Its much better to have a body that is proportioned. This is why i would like the surgery done too. But yes if you are fat overall i suggest you excerise first (i think i read the doctor will ask you to do that first anyways)

I had the chance to meet Dr Jong for consultation of eyelid surgery.. i was very turn off by his personality and the rudeness he showed his assistant worker.. and the way he rushed me and his weird attitute. U will have a weird Era going to his clinic ... its upstairs in this small place. But anyways he is a good doctor (maybe thtas why he became cocky?) but get ready too feel A LOT of pain if you are gonna be seeing this doctor. I did skin lazer hurt like a bloody bitch... more then my rhinoplasty (which wasnt done by him). lol

unfortunately, i do exercise a lot. really, it is genetics. i am not even fat at all. im very slim. if there was any other option than this one, please let me know.

anyhow, anyone in this forum tried the surgery?I hope i can speak to any of u privately. tnx

Hi,
I was just wondering who has had calf reduction surgery with Dr.Park? I'm thinking of having this surgery very soon and would like to speak with anyone who has had it done in the last 3 years. Please message me back with your email address, I'm sure you were in my position before the surgery and I'd really appreciate any information.
Thanks
