It has been reported that people are using social media platforms such as facebook, LinkedIn or even twitter to get a job. Do you think it will happen in Singapore?

Do you think the employers will check your facebook account and LinkedIn account before hiring you?

I always google all people who ask for jobs... interesting stuff sometimes comes up.

But, if you want to work for me, you will be formal enough to submit a CV and cover letter... just because that is the minimum you need to show you can actually follow orders.

Although blogging is no doubt a good way to advertise, you still need something of interest for your target audience, any significant traffic to a website, can be utilised into a money making advertising machine, providing it's not over done!
