Singapore Expats

Hi There

I was wondering if someone could help me with this one.

I do not live in Singapore (I live in Ireland) but wish to purchase shares in a public company that is traded in Singapore. Does anyone know of a good broker (dependable reputable but with reasonable fee structures) based in Singapore. I will be traveling out there within 4weeks but would like to purchase shares asap. Even the number of someone whom I could speak to would be great.

I wont be trading as such but just looking to make a one off purchase.

visit www.poems.com.sg , this is my broker for online trading. But i am not sure foreigner like you without any valid work permit are able to open a Trading account in singapore. Also just out of curiousity which particular stock listed in SGX spur your interest?

For foreign investors, as according to SGX-ST Rules, investors not residing in Singapore will need the endorsement of their account opening forms by a Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths. The submission of their account opening forms should be done together with the enclosure of a photocopy of their valid passports, a declaration by the concerned Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths and as well as the mentioned deposit.

i got a question regarding this lets say i opened an acount while in singapore and then move out. i need to issue a change off address right and if a i change address internationaly what additional papers do i need to procure?
