Singapore Expats

Hi all,

I am relocating to Singapore mid Feb with a friend and we will both be working at Tan Tock Seng hospital as Occupational Therapists. We are in the process of looking for an apartment and would like to live somewhere not too far away from the hospital which is near Novena MRT station. Are there any condos (with pool) that can be recommended that are not too expensive?? I have found a few in Maplewoods that seem reasonable but can anyone recommend any other areas/condos that would be good for two young Australian girls to live in?

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated

You will need to state your budget.
If its tight, then living at whampoa or toa payoh is very near, they're hdb estates.

just about all condo will have a pool and your budget will cover a condo. as for area with other expats, there's no such area. there's no white area or yellow area. expats are everywhere.

Thanks for your suggestions. I wasn't really looking for a "white or yellow area" just somewhere that has a young sortof croud where we may be able to make friends at our age level

Have been in or condo in East Coast now for 3 months and havnt really met anyone. The locals really seem to keep to themselves and the Western Expat social scene seems to be based entirely around kids, which we don't have (yet)

We live on the East Coast and have a good kidless social life with a mixture of locals and expats, ok so it revolves around having a few beers but I can cope with that

Don't actually know anyone from our Condo, well except our Agent

am starting training at my hockey club from tonight so hopefully will get to know more people through that.

hi, i think for australian, they would love to live near Holland Village where most expats hang out. There are good restaurants and shops in there.. and the living environment around there is nice.
