will be teaching in beijing for a year, touching down next week around 11th feb.. looking forward to meet anyone, any nationality for drinks and activities..

If you're looking for someone equally clueless to share in new discoveries, then this is the way to go.
If you want a resource of those that have already done the discovering, try a search engine, like Google or Yahoo.
This should bring up relevant forums like overseassingaporean or asiaexpat.
You might even find some posts in Shanghaiexpat.
Some people travel between SH and BJ quite frequently (overnight train makes it easy).
