looking for toshiba satelite 1800 series ac adapter

i need to buy a ac adapter for toshiba satelite 1800 series. can not find at about 6 computer shops ..any ideas would be appreciated

Heya - plenty of manufacturers make multi ac-adaptor packs - ones with switchable input (ie.e 220V down to 110v), and come with just about every imaginable AC-IN connection for your 'pooter, mobile, etc. Some even have multiple USB connectors also (mini-A, mini-B, etc.) Suggest you check something like that out so next time you won't have a type specific adaptor.
One word of caution, but one that can handle the wattage of your notebook battery.

You might find a universal adapter that will work but the laptop guys use strange voltages not normally found on universal adapters... my IBM T43 is 16 volts.

yes thanks mine is 15 watts and paris silk has one for 19 luckily they rang the supplier... have seen a few generic ones but not correct connectors
