Cat friendly rentals for SGD 2500 p/m or less

I'm relocating from the UK to Singapore with my partner and cat in June.
As technically HDB flats are out of the running (as cats are banned), I'm looking for a cat-friendly landlord and a minimum 2 double bedroom apartment close to Mount Faber/Harbourfront - all for SDG 2500 or less!
Am I asking too much...?
Has anyone encountered any difficulty relocating on a budget with their cat?
Any suggestions/advice would be very welcome...
