Hi,
I really wanna practice my Spanish skills. I guess 'm better at reading and writing, but my spoken Spanish sucks big time. Moreover, studying alone is kinda bit boring.. so I have just joined Las Lillas and today will be my first class!!
I am looking forward to meet some fellas who wanna be friends and practice & expedite our Spanish learning process..
SÃ?? Great!! ¿Café o cerveza?

Mi clase de español es muy bien. Me gusta la maestra. Ella es intelligente y muy bonita. Es bueno que se centra en habilidades conversational.
The class was very good and i was quite happy to see that teachers in las lilas really focus on the conversation skills. Everyone gets a chance to speak in Spanish. Its bit too basic for me and perhaps i should have joined a higher level, but I really enjoyed conversing with other people in spanish.
Me and my mates@laslilas are thinking to start a club so that we can organize meetings or get-together on weekends and share the learning material.
I have following stuff to share:
1. Rosetta Stone Spanish Course
2. Tell Me More Spanish
3. Pimsleur Spanish Audio Course (plus I have made some personal notes)
4. Spanish Podcasts (along with my notes).
4. Las lilas beginner level study material.
5. Study material collected from different sites during past few months.
Let me know if anyone wants to join the club. My email id is

Hola!
I've also always been interested in learning Spanish.. I took one class at Las Lilas after a couple years of self-study, and I'm now thinking of signing up for the next class soon!
Are there any Spanish communities or groups in Singapore, for non-natives? It's unlike the US here - one can order Starbucks using Spanish easily, but here, I only know very few people living and speaking the language.
Cheers

Hola Petrisha!
I lived in US for a while and had few hispanic friends..and i totally agree with you, it was much easier to practice spanish in US specially while ordering burrito or quesadillas in Chipotle and Baja fresh.. más guacamole, por favor...
Conversation with native speakers always helps... specially in learning common phrases or casual words which you may not find in books

Hi AcousticMind!
Si si, mas guacamole por favor! Me gusta mucho!
I went to Viva Mexico restaurant somewhere in Orchard Rd, and was nice to see quesadillas and fajitas again.. of course they were ordered... topped with buena magarita (or is that bueno?)
I am starting Spanish lessons this weekend, and looking forward
How long have you been here?
Cheers
