Clothes for Office wear

hi,

I will be relocating to Singapore soon, and wanted some suggestions on the acceptable office wear in Singapore.

I am on a larger side, so was thinking if getting few formal pants/trousers and shirts/tops. Is that allright to wear for office/interviews or generally business suits or skirts are worn?

As i have heard that clothing is expensive in Singapore, so just thought that as i still have few weeks, i might shop from India (home country)

Please let me know your thoughts/suggestions around the topic.

Thanks

You can wear the same clothes that you wear to work in India. Though I would suggest that you buy formal clothes in India since you are on the heavier side. I used to wear Indian clothes as well so you can shop for some smart salwar kurtas too. Hope this helps.

You will be well advised to stash up on everyday wear from India. The price difference (especially for the non-designer stuff) can be breathtaking.

Sorry for this, but if you are in XL category then affordable clothing options are somewhat limited. The local Ah Lian types are blessed with the nectar of eternal slenderness, and the garment market is tuned to serve that.
