I'm throwing a bash and I'm looking for a professional caterer to make the event special.

Does anyone have any first hand experince with a good caterer on the East Coast. Or is there anyone I should avoid?

you didn't say what type of cuisine you are interested in. And why just the east? Caterers will deliver to about any location in Singapore regardless of where their kitchen is.

However IF you really want an East Coast caterer, we have tried the chillipadi restaurant catering service (no connections to my nick!). tasty food, on time delivery and we jst love peranakan food.
