Vaser Liposuction!!

I will be going for vaser liposuction in the next few weeks and I am losing sleep over this. I am so worried about the LA with IV sedation. As the doctor who is performing the procedure is not a specialist, I am worried about how competent he is.
And I have been told that the procedure will take about three hours. Man!! it sounds scary to be under IV Sedation for that duration.
I am doing vaser for the flanks (lovehandles) and the upper and lower abdomen. And my doc suggest that at most, only 1.5 litres of fats would be removed.
Frens who have undergone this procedure, please advise.

Hello Beautiful,
I am also opting to do vaser hi definition at end of the year. May i know are you doing vaser liposelection or vaser high definiton?
How much does your doctor charge you for the tummy area?
Today i went to JB for consultation. I felt rip off
When i called up the clinic, they told me if i am not big, the love handle, the lower & upper tummy is consider as 1 area range from RM3K to RM4.5K. But when i went there, my tummy area is consider as 3 areas which is about RM11400= S$4830.
I might as well do the vaser in Singapore which is almost the same price (minus the traveling expenses & time).
I am not big, my BMI is within the normal range at only 22.3.
Anyway, i am just sourcing around. I have sourced as far as India & Philippines. So far only went for consultation in JB. Will post if i manage to find any suitable PS surgeon & offer really good price

Hi route2perfection:)
I will be doing mine in May.....it involves the upper, lower abdomen, and the lovehandles......the doctor charging almost 5K (all included....compressor garment, a few sessions of RF....blood test....gst!!)I am not doing hi def as I am terrified of the pain.....thus going for normal vaser.
I have consulted four doctors....my hubby went along to two consultations. One was at Far East Shopping Centre and the other is at Novena Square 2.
We finally decided to go with the novena sq 2 doctor cos we feel he is very professional and honest!!!

hi, kierasee,
may i know which doctor at Far East Shopping Centre did u approach? wat's the reason makes u didn't consider him/her for vaser lipo? i did mine front thighs at TLC clinic in Oct-08 and will be doing the back thighs in another few months time.
is your doctor at novena square 2 a plastic surgeon or a GP? i feel that for this kind of surgery, doctor's skill is the most important factor to be considered.

Hi Beautyqueen3112:)
I am sure the doctors at TLC are all GPs....and they are a lot cheaper la.....and the doc I am going to at Novena Sq2 is also a GP..Plastic surgeons charge an arm and a leg.....Maybe u wud like to email me so we can discuss more.

hi all,
i went for vaser on tummy & lovehandles 1.5 wks ago, thot i can be of some help.
the one i went to is at central square area, not sure if he is a gp or not. but got cert in vaser & stuff...
he charged 6500, which is for 2 areas, with compression garment, 3 RF, medications & bandages.
he used LA with sedation too, which was fine. basically, after injection, u fall asleep in less than 10sec. when u r up, u dun even feel a thing, just a little drowsy. so its a must to have someone bring u home. i think i was even a little high after that, cos i was laughing & kept asking my hubby to look at my 3 big bottles of fat
when home, the areas hurt quite a bit. not because of the wound, but really like severe exercise cramps. the areas are also a little numb due to the liquid pumped in. there are also bruises, which will look worse the next day. immediately, i saw a reduction (cos i was quite big after my preg). but very uneven due to my stretchmarks & healing liquids etc still inside i think. there was leakages at my lower wounds only (combi of blood & liquid), near to the pelvic bone. my hubby helped to massage to push the liquid out. not painful at all. after about 10mins, there were no more leakages. a tip from my dr: if the bandages dun help with the leaks, put sanitary pads instead. fm my exp, best is the maternity type, cos not sticky tape & its cotton. very easy to bandage over.
the next day, there is basically no more blood or leakage. but more cramp-like pain & bruises.
now after 1.5wks, the area is definitely smaller. but not like super slim lor. its best u take pics of the areas before treatment, so that after comparing, u can see that the areas are really smaller after treatment. like tat, u will not keep thinking that the dr did not do enuf. cos we always will want those super slim bodies, so we will tend to think that the dr did not take out enuf.
i am wearing my compression garment everyday, 24/7. 1 fm dr, 2 corsets bought myself. u can get those cheap ones, like less than $50. now, i will take out about 1-2hrs so that its not so hot.
