Can anyone suggest a good, local, well priced removalist for a move within Singapore?

Hi, I can also recommend KC Dat. We have used them for our international move to Singapore and also a domestic move. They were brilliant and even assembled some brand new flat pack furniture we had purchased before the domestic move without even being asked. Everything was done very professionally and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

KC Dat is top notch for a big move, but very expensive for an 'around the corner' move. Get a quote, but I think you'll find an outfit like Shalom better priced and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Book early -- movers will be quite busy as the school year ends and the exodus begins.

We have used KC Dat, top of the range, quite expensive, Collins, also good, somewhat less expensive.

We have had no problems with either, though the KC Dat service is top notch.

I used this guy called Vincent. Found him on ebay actually.

I called several companies (about 10 actually ) for quotes when I was moving recently, and his quotes was the cheapest. He charged me $90 to move 30 boxes and a cupboard, which I thought is extremely cheap (?). The rest quoted me between $150 - $500. PM me if you want his contact. I think he is a removalist too cause one of his boys were telling me they spend an entire day packing an office and moving it, etc etc.

Thanks so much for your pm Girl_Next_Door. I still can't pm you back. As a newbie, I have to had made a certain number of posts before I can pm. So now I am one post closer!

In the meantime, I found another local mover if anyone needs one. His prices sound very reasonable, he's charging me $40 to move a wardrobe from one house to another (much cheaper than all the other places I've called). His name is Jeffrey and his number is 9061 1583.

For one item, I think Vincent's rate is still pretty decent. Range from $30-$50, depending on the size, and location, etc. But like I said, his time is a little rubber, so you need a little patience when it comes to waiting for him to pick things up and deliver it.

A bit off topic but I'm not familiar with the term "removalist." I get what it means but from whence does it originate?
