Perhaps if you do an internet search in your native language, you may be able to discover more of your fellow countrymen . . . For instance, the Russians have their own site in Russian.

Buna Robert! Sunt romanca dar nu locuiesc in Singapore. Ma tenteaza sa ma mut acolo. Iti trimit un pm daca vrei sa vorbim.
I know there is a Romanian economics office there, like an Embassy. You may want to google that and call them to find out how to get in touch with Romanians. This is what I've done when I visited there a few years ago and got to meet a few of them .
