I have seen a Physio and Chiro for back problems and have no relief. If you do find a good one, please let us know.

I've been going to http://www.coreconcepts.com.sg/ for neck problems and have had good success with them. Costs $80 per session (30 minute physio or 60 minute massage). If you want a $5 discount PM me and I'll give you the details.

Or try Pilates. Suggest to go for a class rather than follow the DVD if you're a beginner.

Just wanna share this...
Shoulder and Back Pain are common because these areas are vulnerable to injury, such as sprains and strains. Other disorders that may cause back pain include herniated disc, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, scoliosis and sciatica. There is no way to avoid shoulder pain entirely. There are ways to make it less likely, though, such as regular stretching and taking proper advantage of ergonomically-designed furniture and office equipment.

Try an Osteopath. Have been seeing a chiro for years with no great results until I switched to Osteopathy.

Try www.orchardclinic.com

That's really a unbearable thing. Even I too have experienced this back pain issue, then I have got relief by getting medical advice from http://www.irehab.com , I hope you may also consult them regarding your pain.

Thanks for all the advice.

I finally went to see Dr. Inge at Paramount Chiropractic and I can only recommend her. I wish I would have gone there a long time ago, since it only took only a few visits to get rid of my back pain. What I also liked was that it was easy and hassle free, no long term contracts, x-rays etc. Hope this information is helpful.

Hope you are feeling better by now. I am somewhat of a skeptic and I am sure you have heard whether its physio or chiro or osteo results are variable.

Not sure what's your back pain cause but mine only occurs upon awakening or sitting long hours other than that I am fine. It wasn't a big problem but a pain in the @#$ if you know what i mean.

Anyway i put my skepticism aside did a search for "singapore chiropractor" and found Dr Tim at Singapore Chiropractic. No hard sell or 40 or 100's of sessions <garbage> sorry :x and went for it. After 2 sessions... not bad. To be honest I'm not sure what he did. Detailed exam though and rather comfortable touch or adjust or whatever they call it. Less skeptical but will see.

Hey its a new year and wish you are feelin better!

thanks quak..

i actually feel better with doing..nothing...

before i get to try any chiro..

i still feel them sometimes from exercising (pilates..)...or perhaps its just my bad posture. but i know my limits and stop or modify when i feel something..and in normal days..i dont feel pain anymore..the fact that i've quit long enough from my previous part time job as check out chick may help :)

thanks a lot for your advice guys :)

hope the pain will not come back..but if it does..i will surely refer to this page...

I went to see Inge Austin on the reccomendation of this thread. The alarm bells should have rung when a chiro addresses themselves as DR or that the reccomendation on this thread came from "Randy Austin" who shares the same surname as the chiro. Anyawy, 20 visits later my back is so bad I can hardly get out of bed and I'm over $2k out of pocket - the treatment just made my back get worse. In the end she still maintained that I needed 5 or 6 more treatments. Have sinced gone to a physio and the problem is much better.

I know this might some funny but have anyone of you thought of qi gong (chi gong) as an alternative?
I have slip disc on my lower back for 2 years and tried chiro, physio to no avail..
thus turned to qi gong (so mysterious haha)..
After 3 months of practice I feel much better, after 6 months of practice my slip disc did not come back anymore till now..

it trains u mentally and physically.. quite interesting though (you can see ppl 'sway' to the qi..)
