Singapore Expats

I am about to move to SIngapore from the US and I am going through the paperwork my company sent related to insurance. One of the options relates to hospitals. The choices are between Private and Government. The Private option is about 60% more expensive for me. The question is...is it worth it?

for life-saving procedures and treatments, i think private's the way to go. better quality of care. but i guess if you don't have health problems, then public's okay...
