Looks like we'll be moving to Singapore from Hong Kong and we have 2 children going into year 2 and year 3.

We are aiming for Jan 2010 admission but looks like wait list is too long for Tanglin Trust and company are currently refusing to pay the extortionate debenture SPR.

However, the curriculum fit is right and not keen to swap systems and hear that it's a great school. UWC is also full with long wait list.

I know that the current system for tanglin Trust is non-transferrable placement rights but wondering whether they previously ran a transferrable system and maybe some still floating around???

This is what has happened with our current school ...used to be sellable but now they've doubled the price and non-transferrable - crazy expat world!!!

You'll be pleased to hear that lots of people are leaving at the end of term, not necessarily because they want to, but that's the economic times we live in.
I got both my girls into Tanglin a year before we expected to because all the waiting lists are gone, and I know some years people who have got in the first term after they arrive in Sing, so don't be too worried. You may only need to do a month or so of home schooling before you get in. Alternatively, OFS don't have a registration fee, so a term or so in there is possible without too great a loss of funds.
