Singapore Expats

So... I recently moved here, my boyfriend is working his ass off, and I'm basicly stuck at home in the bleeding rain driving myself completely MAD!!!

His collegues' wifes are all pregnant (and I am not - and no immediate plans either) and very nest-building, whereas I would rather be dead than caught baby-cot-shopping.

I checked with my embassy, but they have no fun stuff going on for people in their 20's, and I am not very religious so getting involved in some church really isn't an option either.

What should I do..?

desperuth,

do something part-time, many expat wives and girlfriends do that. Teach tuiton, cooking, sewing, or pick up a hobby, in this way could have better chance of widening your social circle.

You may wish to do something worthwhile should monetary isn't an issue at home. If you can afford, you may wish to join some voluntary group for some duties. Cheerios!

Join the WDNC! (see topic below) and dont be desperate, be patient. I am here since Dec04 and I hardly know people.. those I met and liked, left to live somewhere else.. You will find out quickly that finding real friends in Singapore is an illusion.. but I dont wanna take that from you... so just come 8)

I also pretty free during the weekends or even after work. If you are up to it we can sun tan @ the beach on the weekends. My dad got a place there and he can do some cooking.
