Book club for our children

Hi mommies,

I'm a mother of a 9-month-old boy.
As you know in Singapore there's no book reading programs in any public libraries.

I suggest we gather at a place and rotate our turns and read children's books for our precious kids.

They will learn how to socialize and make the good habit reading books frequently.

We need to find a good location to gather.
We need a list of mommies and daddies who can read books for our kids.

I will receive any voluteers and make a list and arrange the turns.

We will gather, let's say, twice a month for a start.

It would be much appreciated if you have interest in this.

I need a suggestion of the location.

'Ayesha's Book Club for Children' is open for any parents and children who love reading and socializing.

Hope to hearing from you soon!

Best Regards,

book club

This sounds interesting. I believe in reading to our kids too. Being a primary school teacher, I've seen enough of kids who do not have a headstart in reading and in turn affecting their language ability.

This book club sounds good. Let me know the venue though. Will see if it is convenient to bring baby down. :)

For any parents who are interested there is actually a toddler reading program through the public library - as well as story time and events for older children:

I will check with the national library and get back to you with the venue.
It's quite hard to find a community library which has a lot of books but need to keep quiet.

I will set a date and place and will expect more of attendees!

Thanks and Regards,
Ayesha

I've got a reply!

A full event listing for our childrens' programmes is available via our Go Library! portal.
URL: http://golibrary.nlb.gov.sg/

Look out for the 'Hot Stuff' column which features the latest programme and do explore the seach function which allows you to browse for childrens' programmes. All the details about participation are available via the portal.

So apparently there are story telling sessions at each library.
Please choose one which is near to your place.
If you are interested in, let's go one place all together!

Thanks for your attention.

Cheers,

We have a venue thanks to Aida!
